Fees and charges

The Commercial Passenger Vehicle Industry Act 2017 enabled provision of low-cost licences for taxis and hire cars in Victoria. The following fees and charges are applicable for commercial passenger vehicles, driver accreditations and driving instructor authorities (GST exempt unless otherwise stated):

Fees and charges in bold are adjusted annually and applicable until 30 June 2018.

Payment

Payments can be made via bank cheque, money order or EFTPOS (credit or debit card). Cash payments are not accepted at the Taxi Services Commission.

Invoices

All licence holders receive an invoice for their annual licence fee two months prior to the due date, and then a reminder letter will be sent one month prior to the due date if the annual licence fee has not been paid.

The due dates for annual licence fees align with licence anniversary dates.
