Invoices

On 20 October 2015 the Taxi Services Commission (TSC) will change the way it invoices annual licence fees for taxis, hire cars, special purpose vehicles and restricted hire cars.

Currently some licence holders receive an initial, reminder and final invoice while other licence holders receive an initial invoice and then a reminder letter. Current processes can lead to confusion with multiple invoices being issued to some licence holders and reminder letters only being sent to some licence holders.

In July/August 2015 the TSC sought feedback from the industry regarding proposed changes to the invoicing process. The consultation period closed on 17 August 2015 and the invoicing process is now finalised.

On 20 October 2015 the TSC will change the process so all taxi, hire car, special purpose vehicle and restricted hire car licence holders will receive an invoice for their annual licence fee two months prior to the due date, and then a reminder letter will be sent one month prior to the due date if the annual licence fee has not been paid.

The due dates for annual licence fees will not be affected by this change and you will still be able to contact the TSC for a replacement invoice if you misplace your invoice.
