Statement of Expectations

On 9 May 2018, the Minister for Public Transport, the Hon Jacinta Allan MP, issued a Statement of Expectations (SoE) to the Taxi Services Commission, now Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria, regarding the Government's Regulation Reform Program to reduce red tape.

The SoE sets out the Minister's expectations of the Taxi Services Commission to reduce red tape affecting businesses, not-for-profit organisations, government service providers and individuals. The SoE outlines some key performance targets aimed at promoting greater efficiency and effectiveness in the administration and enforcement of regulation.

Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria has responded to the SoE, detailing specific activities we will undertake to achieve the targets set by the SoE. We will report on progress to achieve the SoE’s performance targets via our Annual Report.

A copy of the SoE issued by the Minister for Public Transport is available below, alongside Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria’s response:

On 21 December 2017, the Minister for Public Transport, the Hon Jacinta Allan MP, issued a SoE to the Taxi Services Commission regarding effectively implementing the Government’s industry reforms, as outlined in the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Industry Act 2017, and ongoing regulation of the industry to ensure it adopts the new laws and meets both Government and community expectations.
