Taxi Services Commission

The Taxi Services Commission (TSC) is an independent body established in July 2013.

The TSC was tasked with conducting a major inquiry into the Victoria taxi and hire car industry. Professor Allen Fels was appointed as Commissioner of the TSC and Chair of the Taxi Industry Inquiry.

The Inquiry's Final Report titled 'Customers First – Service, Safety, Choice' was tabled in the Victorian Parliament on 12 December 2012.

The government response to the Taxi Industry Inquiry was released in May 2013.

The TSC replaced the Victorian Taxi Directorate as industry regulator on 1 July 2013.
